SHEíS LIKE THE WIND
Disclaimer: I own nothing. I own less than nothing. Buffy & Co belong to Joss, WB, Mutant Enemy (Grr, Arg) and anyone else who has a hand in. Thanx: SMG, DB and the crew for giving me an escape route from the Hellmouth that is Duplo International! I love you guys for it!!!
Authorís Note: The only excuse I can offer is that I was having a retro evening!!! Please consider this defence before finding me guilty. The lyrics are in Italics.
ëSheís like the wind through my tree
She rides the night next to me
She leads me through moonlight
Only to burn me with the sun
Sheís taken my heart
But she doesnít know what sheís doneÖí
Buffy.
Amazing how one short word could cause such a myriad of emotions. A word that could bring a smile to my lips and at the same time a blood tear to my eyes. It could warm my non-beating heart, make me catch my non-breath and tie me up in knots.
There was no doubt she was under my skin.
ëFeel her breath on my face
Her body close to me
Canít look in her eyes
Sheís out of my league
Just a fool to believe I have anything she needs
Sheís like the windÖí
Why am I doing this to myself? Iím a vampire and sheís the Slayer. We canít be together. Weíre mortal enemies; and yet. When weíre together thereís something. A spark. A flicker of hope. Maybe she is the one.
ëI look in the mirror and all I see
Is a young old man with only a dream
Am I just fooling myself
That sheíll stop the pain
Living without her
Iíd go insaneÖí
We keep walking away. But for how much longer? Itís getting harder and harder to walk away and I know she feels that too. Weíre both trying to deny something that wonít be denied. This is stronger than both of us. I need her more than I have ever needed anything before. She is my hopes, my fears, my dreams.
